![]() ![]() We won’t be using gingerbread roms in near future. What was thought of and decided not to be implemented:ĭual booting between ICS and GB ROMs: this would require flashing ICS and GB kernels over and over. “maybe” you will have an option in extweaks to change the selection timeout and set default boot rom (primary or secondary) ![]() “maybe” I will be able to add “install zip to second rom” and try to map some partitions to secondrom partitions to be able to install some simple scripts. The cache partition of the second rom will be created in sdcard/.secondrom folder with the default size of 100MB. The hidden partition will be used as the system partition of the second rom. The default data partition size will be 512MB and it will be created in your sdcard/.secondrom folder. Init second rom data partition (in case you want to initialize it to something smaller or larger than the default) We will have a new menu item in CWM Touch recovery: “dual-boot” You will be prompted for 2 seconds to press the home button to boot the second rom It will work for ICS Roms (Samsung, CM9 or AOSP based) ![]() Here are some thoughts about the implementation: I decided to implement dual-booting while we don’t have the sources yet (or I will have to stop and wait because there is not much to do without having the sources) ![]()
